Oh Joe The Plumber, What Soil Lines You Run.

Posted by kw

The Ohio plumber, who has no license and is actually named Samuel Wurzelbacher, spoke at a McCain campaign event in Columbus Monday. A McCain supporter asked if "a vote for Obama is a vote for the death of Israel." JTP hardly batted an eye.

"I'll go ahead and agree with you on that," Wurzelbacher said.

This, gentle reader, is not the worst.  McCain has allowed people to rally around the concept that Obama, a Christian, is a terrorist and a muslim.  Not because being a devout muslim is simply a matter of faith, but by implication is unpatriotic, foreign, untoward and sinister.

By these very implications, I believe that McCain is just that:  Sinister.

Wow! As certain people know, I'm not overly political.

But I can tell you this much. No Australian political party would dare to go into a race for the Prime Minister-ship (yes, we're still part of the Commonwealth here) with someone that stupid making comments for their team.

They would be ridiculued by the Autralian people enmasse and would never get elected. Perhaps this goes to show what McCain thinks of the American people?

Wow.

I'm beginning to understand the rage Dr Jay has been exhibiting.

And I'm sending all the prayers out to the universe I can that the American people wake up and vote for intelligence.

Wow.

BTW - thanks for adding me to your blogroll! Consider the favour returned. :)

Svasti~I am sooo not political, usually. But the current President has run this country into the ground, while trampling over any legal or moral obligations to do otherwise.

I was shocked when he got a second term, and fear that McCain represents what would amount to four more years of the same.

McCain/Palin would indeed be laughable, were it not so plausable that they may win the election.

As McCain, Palin, and their supports have amply demonstrated in recent months, there are many, many ways to imply the "n-word" without actually saying it. Those that you list here are only a few.

And Joe the Plumber seems to have been brought in to show that some people are even stupider than Sarah Palin....

Dano..
Hey, Darlin..you know that I am not a political person, but I kind of wish that I were. At least a smidge...it would make me seem more responsible. Thank God, I have you to sponge oft of.

Yoga~You are so right. But I've also met some people at least as ignorant as "Joe" and Ms. Palin. One guy accosted me in a parking lot, about the Obama stickers I had on my truck.

He asked me if I was "sh*tting" him. (I run a GA blog here, peeps)! He said that he thought Obama would be "as bad as J.F.K." and it wouldn't be long before some one assassinate him, should he win.

Now, I know that J.F.K. was freaky in some people's minds, because he was a Catholic. At the time, that was a lot like being, hmn, an African-American or a female presidential is now.

I'll be by to see what else you've written, particularly on this election. I've been away for a couple of days. I'll write about that shortly.

Eve~Baby Jesus and His pet cow know that you cannot be all things to all people. What with your brood of Joons, the pole-dancing class, Won Ton Estates, Daddy and the amazing advice you so freely give, I'm just astounded and flattered that you have the time to stop here. I'll be over soon, so that we can discuss my popping down for a wee visit. Love to you.
