My Watership Down.

Posted by kw in , ,

OK, if you are into reading, into self-discovery, into quizzes and into yourself, I have the answer for you!  Thanks to Candy, I took the Book Quiz.  Six questions and they tell you what book you'd be.  If you were a book, see.  Then they say what this book that you might be shows about you.   Deep, in a Cosmo sex-quiz kinda way, no?  Candy is some sort of anarchist, looking for some guards and avoiding the tax-man.  Me?  Well, I'm back in the Watership Downs, my friends.

You're Watership Down!

by Richard Adams

Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you're
actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their
assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they
build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'd
be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.

Good lord!

Can't I just be normal in some way?? And... I'm just not that depraved!! I got:

You're Lolita!
by Vladimir Nabokov
Considered by most to be depraved and immoral, you are obsessed with sex. What really tantalizes you is that which deviates from societal standards in every way, though you admit that this probably isn't the best and you're not sure what causes this desire. Nonetheless, you've done some pretty nefarious things in your life, and probably gotten caught for them. The names have been changed, but the problems are real. Please stay away from children.

Wow, I came out as my favorite novel in the universe.

I am Joyce's Ulysses.

That was fun Dano!

I'm a sucker for quizzes, games etc. I came out as "Mrs. Dalloway!"
by Virginia Woolf
Your life seems utterly bland and normal to the casual observer, but inside you are churning with a million tensions and worries. The company you surround yourself with may be shallow, but their effects upon your reality are tremendously deep. To stay above water, you must try to act like nothing's wrong, but you know that the truth is catching up with you. You're not crazy, you're just a little unwell. But no doctor can help you now.

Now I'm going to have to read the book!

SVASTI~

I'm worried about both of us. I thought being Watership Down was too normal, whilst it looks like you would prefer it!

At Candy's sight, I think that all of the comments had been labeled as Watership Down, which made me wonder whether that was the only book and whether I should retake the test to see!

Happily, I can see I'm wrong, as the comments below show!

SUSAN~

I'm going to have to take a leap of faith here. I found the book to be a difficult journey. Now I'm going to have to go the book quiz, to find out what it says about you as Ulysses.

IMMI~

What on earth?! I'm wondering if this test may not be scientific!

VIVIENNE~

Good luck with that. I've not had much success reading her. I know that she's brilliant, but I've not found myself engrossed. It may be time to try again, Mrs. Dalloway.

Dano, hope this works....

Funny because dammit, this is all my time favorite book in the universe. Eeeire.

're Ulysses!
by James Joyce
Most people are convinced that you don't make any sense, but compared to what else you could say, what you're saying now makes tons of sense. What people do understand about you is your vulgarity, which has convinced people that you are at once brilliant and repugnant. Meanwhile you are content to wander around aimlessly, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. What you see is vast, almost limitless, and brings you additional fame. When no one is looking, you dream of being a Greek folk hero.

I found your site through Svasti's blog. I enjoyed my visit immensely and will be back.

I took the book quiz and I ended up being the same book.

All the best,

Jane

SUSAN~

I have yet to hear you swear, and am all sorts of shits'n'giggles about the idea!

JANE~

Welcome, my dear. By the "same book", do you mean Watership Down, or Ulysses?

Oh my....I'm not sure I'm liking this....LOL....actually, I'm embarrassed--can't I even be Lolita? (grin)

You're The Dictionary!
by Merriam-Webster
You're one of those know-it-all types, with an amazing amount of knowledge at your command. People really enjoy spending time with you in very short spurts, but hanging out with you for a long time tends to bore them. When folks really need an authority to refer to, however, you're the one they seek. You're an exceptional speller and very well organized.

CAROL~

That's funny! I asked for an Oxford English Dictionary for Christmas. If I can't find what I need in there, I'll stop by. But only for a bit!

Thanks for sharing your results.
