Yom Kippur And A Global Reprieve.

Posted by kw

Yom Kippur, also known as The Day of Atonement is the most serious of Jewish Holidays.  It focuses on repentance and atonement.  It is a day to look back on the past year, reflecting on one's actions and how one affected others.  It's a practice that those who are involved in a 12-Step recovery program, are encouraged to daily.  It's termed a "reprieve".
I believe that the world could benefit from a global yearly reprieve.  It would be great if it happened even more often.  But I seriously doubt, as things stand now, that it ever will.
