Good Lord, Polar Bear, that's awful. I guess Pollyanna would say that she's glad the bear keeper got to have such a great life!
I do know that zoo revenues get a boost if they have unusual or rare births, like Panders, for example. I guess it is the human condition to dote on the young and care for them less as they grow older.
